Rachel & Austin’s Autumn Wedding at The Apiary in Lexington, Kentucky
Rachel and Austin’s wedding day at The Apiary was one of those days that just felt good from start to finish.
The weather was honestly perfect. Warm sun, crisp fall air, and beautiful golden light streaming through every space. All of the vendors were loving life… meanwhile Rachel, Austin, and most of their wedding party live in Florida and were absolutely freezing all day.
The entire day had such an exciting energy to it. They had the sweetest group of loved ones who were genuinely so excited to celebrate them.
One of my favorite parts of the day was Rachel and Austin’s first look in the garden at The Apiary. They looked SO chic together. Rachel’s dress draped beautifully, and Austin’s tux felt super timeless and clean.
Their ceremony took place in the covered outdoor space at The Apiary, and I loved how intimate it felt while still having such an open atmosphere. The light that day was unreal, especially once cocktail hour started and the sun began dropping lower.
Cocktail hour honestly may have been one of my favorite parts of the day visually. The autumn light coming through the space was so pretty, and everyone just seemed genuinely happy to be there.
One thing I kept noticing throughout the wedding was how naturally everyone blended together. It felt like half family reunion, half people meeting for the first time, and somehow both at once. The whole day had such a warm, welcoming energy to it.
The reception details were also SO good. Simple, modern, intentional… nothing felt overdone. Hannah, their planner, designed a lot of the paper goods herself, including the menus and place cards, which made everything feel extra personal.
Between the stunning florals by Roséalia, candlelight, and all of the clean design choices throughout the reception space, everything came together so darn beautifully.
And of course, Tinker’s Cakes never misses.
Once the dance floor opened up, these people partied hard. The dance floor stayed packed all night long, and you could just tell everyone was fully enjoying themselves. Rachel and Austin ended the night with a streamer exit instead of sparklers, which honestly fit the vibe of the day perfectly — energetic, joyful, and classic all at once.
More than anything, this wedding just felt full of joy. Beautiful details, great people, an incredible dance floor, and so many moments that felt genuinely meaningful from start to finish.
